Our Mission

Sentience develops software to help human experts work on complex natural-language tasks. Our research focuses on how machine-learning models can mesh with humans and databases to solve problems that have traditionally scaled badly due to the need for intensive work by highly skilled humans.

Our testbed is domain-specific translation, where we focus on:

• structuring human knowledge into databases,

• recalling/repurposing data to aid other users, and avoid reliance on intangible factors like memory recall, and

• developing AI models that emulate the user.

Our goal is to move humans’ focus away from low-level content and toward problems that require context awareness.
