Sentience is now SOC 2 certified

When I started Sentience (very nearly five years ago!), I knew that one of our core commitments would be to security in all aspects of our software and business. We wanted to be a trusted partner for firms that set the highest standards for protecting their information while offering them speed, accuracy, and a pleasant user experience.

Today, I’m proud to say that thanks to the efforts of our dedicated team and our partners Prescient Assurance and Vanta, we have obtained our SOC 2 Type I certification.

SOC 2 is a rigorous process involving hundreds of checkpoints spanning documentation, procedures, infrastructure design and monitoring, and a great deal more - essentially, it was an excellent opportunity to take a hard look at everything we do and increase our current and future clients’ confidence in what we do.

We’re glad to have partnered with Vanta, whose compliance monitoring dashboard and tailored checklist of SOC 2 controls let us check off our obligations and present them to our auditors in a streamlined way. Just as importantly, Vanta enables us to continue monitoring our compliance as a step to future certifications.

As with everything we do, we never stop. But today we’re pausing to look back at the mountains we’ve climbed before we turn to look at those ahead.
