SMBC Nikko Securities now a Sentience customer

TOKYO, October 5, 2021 — Sentience Inc. is pleased to announce SMBC Nikko Securities Inc. (“SMBC Nikko”), a full-service broker in the SMBC group, as a customer for its AI-driven translation software.

Sentience is supplying SMBC Nikko with its cloud-based translation system, which combines a customised neural machine translation (NMT) model based on SMBC Nikko’s analyst reports, proprietary fast database search, and a human-centric editor tool. Sentience is based on an extended-intelligence approach that combines AI with human translators to maximise the potential of both. SMBC Nikko will use Sentience to supercharge the productivity of the team of experts that translates its analyst research content.
